The World University Championship Golf 2022 were presented at the Expo 2020 in Dubai, at the Italian Pavilion, during the event “The World Sport Italy and major events”. The vice president of the Regional Council of Piedmont, Fabio Carosso, spoke on Thursday, while Friday was the turn of the Councillor for Sport of the Piedmont Region, Fabrizio Ricca, the Councillor for Sport of the City of Turin, Domenico Carretta and the President of the WUG2025 Organizing Committee, Alessandro Sciretti.
The World University Championship Golf 2022 will be among the events of Piedmont, European Region of Sport. “We are delighted to be able to host the World University Golf Championships for several reasons – says the Councillor for Sport of the Piedmont Region, Fabrizio Ricca – As 2022 European Region of Sport, we consider it fundamental to give a total sports dimension, or host a great international competition embedded in all that is the calendar of our events, but above all to give the message of our university vocation, on the way to the World University Games of 2025. This allows us to start the adventure towards the World University Games with a very important event that also begins to show our sporting academic vocation”.
